Den Of Thieves - Movie Review. When we see a movie that surprises us and quite frankly exceed our expectations. We want to tell people about it.

Let's be honest when we first saw the trailer, it has Gerard Butler and 50 Cent. Both did not have a stellar record for movies. The trailer makes it look like a generic Heat rip-off crime movie. But we are surprised of how much we loved Den of Thieves.

Is it a perfect movie? No.

But we thought if you are a fan of crime genre and you like kind of good heist caper movie, you actually going to love this too.

As we mentioned, Gerald Butler plays as Nick, a hard-boiled cop who is the head major crimes unit at the LA Sheriff Department. If it sounds like a cliche setup, that's because it is.

For the first 30-40 minutes of the movie, we thought we knew what are gonna get. But they actually added some layers to Nick as the movie goes on. He leads the major crime units, against a group of high-tech bank robbers led by Pablo Schrieber.

They are pulling big ambitious heist at banks around LA and Gerald Butler and his team has to stop him.

Where this movie really kicks into extra gear is when it gets into the actual planning and plotting of the caper itself.

You think it's gonna go one way and then when the movie unfolds in the second half, it continues to surprise you at any turn.

The director, Christian Gudegast, he is best know for writing movies like London Has Fallen. He manages to inject something original.

Den Of Thieves is worth your time. It has some twists that surprised you as well.

So, if you are a fan of the genre, we would definitely recommend seeing this.
