The X-Men are going big next year for a special extended edition of Days of Future Past with Rogue! We’ve known that Anna Paquin’s “Rogue” was set to have a bigger role in this summer’s X-Men: Days of Future Past, but was ultimately cut from the film.
Even she did make a brief cameo, her main scene was a subplot that we actually got a glimpse of in the first Days of Future Past trailer, but in the end, she had ten-minute scene that deviated from the main storyline. And finally ended up as a deleted scene on the DVD/Blu-Ray release, into an extended version set to be dubbed the “Rogue Cut”.
Rogue release date has officially been announced, it will hit most likely in the summer 2015. The plan right now is for the extended cut to be a digital and DVD/Blu-ray only release. X-Men Days of Future Past currently available on Digital HD and set to arrive in stores on DVD & Blu-Ray on October 14th, some of you may be wondering why release an extended edition instead of including it as a deleted scene. Here’s what Kinberg had to say about it.
There was talk recently that an extended cut of the film would be getting a theatrical release early next year, but according to Kinberg, that will not be the case. The plan right now is for the extended cut to be a digital and DVD/Blu-ray only release.
