Fifty Shades Freed - Movie Review. Finally this series is over. This film is a little bit bitter sweet for us, on one hand this is the end of the Fifty Shades franchise. But on the other hand we still had to watch another film.
This film once again follows Anastasia Steele, now Anastasia Grey when she is finally married to Christian. They are living together trying to maneuver their married while Anastasia is being haunted from someone from her past who is trying to get revenge.
Please imagine something for us, you have a stomach flu and the first night you are vomiting and feel like crap. The following night, you feel even worst somehow. Then, imagine the third night you still feel like an absolute garbage but you are not as bad as the nights before.
And that's kind of what Fifth Shades franchise is.
Fifty Shades Freed is terrible. Something that really make this movie more enjoyable is that it makes extra effort to add points of humor. Which is something that is seriously lacking in the series. The previous two films are just so self-serious.
Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan has this chemistry but you don't feel like they are really in love. This is because the set up of previous movies of toxic their relationship is. The dialog even though it is not as bad as before, it is still very under-written and cheesy.
But they do push a lot of sex scenes in this movie, massive chunk of the film is dedicated to sex.
Fifty Shades Freed is als dedicated to marital issues which is not the most engaging point to see on screen. There is a scene where Anastasia wants to cook dinner instead of having the maid cook dinner.
We have no idea how these people maintain jobs.
If you do enjoy this franchise we think that's not gonna change anything.
We rate Fifty Shades Freed: 3/10
