Cinderella 2015 is directed by Kenneth Branagh and it is a live action adaptation of the famous Disney animation, Cinderella. For those who do not know the story of Cinderella (there are some of you out there) it is about a young girl who is very courageous and kind. When her parents are out of the picture, she is raised by very evil stepmother and two stepsisters who keep her locked in the attic and forced her to do nothing but slave work for the rest of her life.
Until the night she meets he fairy godmother and has giver her an opportunity to be someone that she isn't.
We are not gonna lie. Not a single bone of my body was anticipating in this movie. When we heard about another Cinderella adaptation, we were forcing ourselves to watch it. Why is this movie have to actually happen? Do we really need another Cinderella movie when you can just go and watch the classic animation movie?
But, we are surprised that Cinderella 2015 is really good!!!
It is the same Cinderella you knew and loved before. It is just told in the best way it could. In the most grounded way they could well maintaining the Disney magic of the original. Everyone in the movie is giving respectable performances.
This is the kind of movies that young kid especially girls will love but adults can come and watch and still found enjoyment because it is not a childish movie.
There is a lot of emotions thrown into this movie that does not feel superficial. Normally, when a kid is being really annoying or loud in a theater, it gets on our nerves.
Cate Blanchette is really good as a stepmother, Lilly James is excellent as Cinderella. All actors did really well in this movie.
We are giving this movie B+
