Cameras are everywhere, and some of the best photos are taken from cell phone. So I want to highlight two of the best, iPhone 5s and Xperia Z1s. Which one is the best? We are going through a lot of parts not only just camera.
Even with the plastic construction surrounding the phone, it feels like solid device. You still have two peaces of Cristal at the back and front. The front has 5 inch, Trilumino, 441 pxels per inch, but the viewing angle are the really bad. For example, if your phone is on you desk and you just received a message, you would have to tilt or pick up the phone to read. The color are just pretty dead on.
It is Qualcomm Snapdragon™ 800 Quad-core 2.2 Ghz processor with 2GB RAM, not the most powerful but a lot better. iPhone 5s does not just focus on camera or just battery or anything other than experience. It's aluminum body are just beautiful and the two color of the phone just like the space grey is so addicting to look at.
Processor
But you will find disappointing specs, it has 4 inch display. 326 pixels per inch which means you won't notice any of the pixels from normal distance. Inside you have Dual Core 1.3Ghz processor called the A7. It's a new chip and totally new architecture and a lot powerful device.
Disappointingly, you have 1GB of RAM. Same specs is basically the Samsung Galaxy S2. It's a sixth year generation device which sounds very poor.
In real world performance these two are basically great. The iPhone is running iOS7 and Z1s is running Android 4.3. We have geek bench running on both phones, and the results show the iPhone having a higher result than Z1s.
And then, we have 5s and Z1s on the the wifi network to load up same web site. Z1s has slight advantage which means quicker, and 5s has power and smoother experience of running the entire page.
Battery
The battery life of these two are 'ok'. The iPhone has 1,440 mAh battery, last me a full day. Z1s has 3000 mAH battery which easily last me a day and a half.
Camera
These devices spots the most great phone camera. The iPhone 5s has focused on optic, sensor and software. They really did design and made it good as the camera can be. Z1s focused primarily on numbers. The result are pretty shocking. It can take good photos. The images coming from Z1s are sharp but the color seemed over process. But you can make the images look good if you go to setting.
Video goes to the iPhone. Image stabilizer, the video looks much more sharp and accurate. Z1s is jumpy and the colors are not so good as if it was in a low light room.
I;m sticking with my iPhone choice because it is just a better camera and better everyday user. Maybe if Sony changes processing, maybe I will change my mind.
