Dunkirk Movie Review

Dunkirk Movie Review. Dunkirk is directed by Christopher Nolan and it is based on the true event when 400,000 soldiers with their back to the sea trapped on the beach completely surrounded by German forces that were coming in and no way to get home. The the concerted organized effort to save those guys.
Trust us, this is one of the most intense films you are going to see this year. The way Nolan sculpts this story is is so impressive. We heard early on on some screenings that a lot of critics are saying there's not a lot of characters development in Dunkirk and audience won't get to know the characters.
But, what you realize is that this movie is not about any of the characters. Dunkirk is about on particular moment. Nolan want to take the audience and immerse them into a situation that happened once. He wanted you to feel all the intensity, tension, and fear of being trapped and attacked.

When the bullets are whizzing by and the boats are sinking you  did not need to see bloo…

London Has Fallen - Movie Review

London Has Fallen - Movie Review. London Has Fallen is the sequel to the surprisingly successful Olympus Has Fallen and once again it stars Gerrard Butler as the greatest Secret Service Agent, protecting the President of The United States (Aaron Eckhart) in London. When terrorist attack the city they trying to assassinate the President as well as other leaders who are present for this funeral.

We really enjoyed Olympus Has Fallen largely because Anthoine Fuqua's direction. He directed a very tense movie and it also had a lot of similarities to Die Hard 5 because it came out just the right time. A couple months after highly disappointing Die Hard 5 and a lot people viewed Olympus Has Fallen as a better version of it.

Now, London Has Fallen is directed by Babak Najafi. We enjoyed the way he directed this film, the actin sequences mostly well handled. The are some poorly edited sequences though, involving car chases under the bridge where this guy knocked the door off the car and popped up the window and started shooting.

But it was an okay movie, nothing special. Gerrard Butler is really good in this movie and we thought he did well in action scenes. Funny and likable.

We would not really recommend seing this movie in theater. London Has Fallen is just fine if you have nothing else to do.

So we are going this movie 6.5/10
