The Shining plus The Lord Of The Flies, minus the humor and you get The Maze Runner! Since all of us were begging and salivating for yet another Young Adult novel to be transition to the big screen, we have The Maze Runner. This is the Hollywood new thing for sure. Ever since Harry Potter and Twilight exploded, every book that was written for YA and it is popular it will on the big screen.
The maze Runner tells a tale of a group of boys who are locked in the small area, they have to live there, their memories has been wiped. But around this small area, there is a gigantic maze, and worst, it filled with horrible creatures called Grievers. There are selected few people called Runners who are allowed to run throughout the maze figure out a way out.
Once the main character arrives, Thomas, he starts changing things better.
The Maze Runner is pretty well directed movie with a very good performance by Dylan O'Brien. The movie open very intense, on this elevator leading up to the Glade. This Griever creatures? I liked them even though the CGI was little poor sometimes.
We're gonna gave the sequel because there's a lie that said buT the character the sets this whole sequel thing. The movie does look good, it feels freash all the time but the drama is not enough. But overall, The Maze Runner is great movie, has great characters. Intense! Go se the movie if you haven't already.
